Episode 4: The God Killer

At this point and time Darrel and Sal did not roam around doing nothing. Much to the contrary they did everything to find everyone who was of interest to the point of flipping through a phone book but much to their dismay they found nothing. At this point the two of them quite simply realized there was nothing to do but walk outside until they found something to do. It would be this decision that would make their inconspicuous stop perfectly worth while for walking in their direction at that very moment were the two people they thought. How ever they thought it not queer when they passed them by.

The first person was Arnthor. He was a person of a powerful voice and face and while not all that tall was built in a way that showed that he was not the first person to mess with. He had black hair which was tidy and organized.

The second person was Gilaon. She was quite similar to Arnthor how ever she appeared to be taller and had blonde hair. The major differences in face end there.

Neither of them knew what today would hold would ever have been able to guess what today would hold. It only began making sense after the adventure.

From a dark alley way they heard a scream which no one reacted to. People passed by the alley way with no reaction to the screams as if they could not be heard. As if they were echoes of some other far away place. Another world entirely. Gilaon and Arnthor could hear however.

And when they stepped in the alley they were no longer in the alley. Instead they were in a dimly lit room which resembled a dungeon in every sense of the word dungeon. Chains hung and rattled from the walls almost as if they were moved by an invisible force. They slowly moved across the air as they spelled out the words “The Almost God”. Then a voice echoed from a dark corner.

“That's who he is. The Almost God, a terror to the god them selves” said the voice in a melancholy tone. They were now able to identify the speaker as a sad and dirty looking gentleman. His faced carried the knowledge of a hundred years worth of experience.

“We will get you out of here” said Arnthor

“How?” said Gilaon

“She's right, how will you get me out of here. Think, your in a dungeon where the creature that terrorizes gods operates. How do you expect to slip a god out of here to be exact?” said the gentleman.

“What is this place?” came another voice, it was Sal's. Behind him came Darrel who answered “a dungeon”.

“Who are you?” asked Gilaon

At this Sal jumped forward and extended his hand. “Oh, I'm Sal and I am glad to meet you”. After this he held his hand there for several seconds before retreating backwards. She then moved forward to Darrel.

“Hi I'm Gilaon”

“I'm Darrel”

“Hey guys! Maybe we should get this guy out of here before The Almost God comes!” shouted Arnthor.

“Or maybe you should just leave. I can feel the torment descending, I may have moments left. Leave the way you came.” said the God.

“Wait I might be able to help” said Darrel as he began to attack the chains with his sword. When that failed he clumsily he searched through his sword utilities for his lock pick how ever when he failed to find it he simply attempted to use a spoon. This ultimately ended in frustration and failure.

“You will come with us” said Sal.

“I'd love to but I'm obviously a bit tied up at the moment. What a cruel joke; To kill the God of Death. At least I now know that he has a sense of humor” said the God of Death.

“Don't speak that way, we will get you out” said Arnthor.

“Wait, your here for a reason, let me put my hand on your forehead” and as this happened Arnthor felt a sharp pain across his head.

“What was that for!” shouted Arnthor who was now caught in his friend's concerned arms.

“Avenge me” said the God of Death as a light shined inside of him. “May I meet you in Hell, Almost God.” Then after a few seconds of nothing “Well, aren't you going to deliver sanction upon me for my crimes? Do it!” And at that moment the light spread across his body turned him into stone as he let out one last scream. Then his statue burst into dust leaving him as only a pile of dust as all our heroes could do was just stare as they had just watched an all powerful being unceremoniously killed. The chains that had spelled out “The Almost God” just moments before collapsed to the floor with a great sound. In fear of the captor having possibly heard it they fled and when they returned to the alley way they noticed no time at all had passed. The God of Death had been killed in quite literally no time flat.
